| Thinkway Toys, the leading interactive toy developer, announced that M.A.G.™ (Motion Activated Gear), the latest trend in TV plug and play style games, will arrive at retail outlets worldwide beginning in August 2005 featuring revolutionary, wireless role-play gear.
Based on Warner Bros. Animation’s hit television series The Batman™ and the classic DC Comics characters, “Villains of Gotham City” is a new wireless, two way interactive role-play TV action game.
M.A.G.™ presents a welcomed, active style of play designed to get players off the couch and interacting with opponents on screen. The wireless role-play gear consists of the Batman chest plate that vibrates when you take a hit and gauntlets that enable players to control Batman’s crime fighting action on screen. By using the gear, players can make Batman move, kick, jump and block with controls inside the gauntlets in addition to the motion sensitive punching action- gamers physical punches are mirrored by Batman punching on screen, all with ground breaking new technology powered by Thinkway.
M.A.G.™ includes an all-in-one, self-contained base unit that plugs directly into a television and wireless role-play gear – no console or game cartridges are required. All of the actions are executed on-screen with enhanced 3-D graphics. Another wireless TV Action Game from Thinkway, also available in August,- is based on Warner Bros. Animation’s hit animated series, Teen Titans (Arena Showdown). Thinkway has implemented a novel point-of-purchase mechanism for their M.A.G. range with a unique ‘video- in- a- box’ feature (U.S. Pat. 6,749,437 Int. Pat. Pending). When the ‘try- me’ button is pushed, a narrator’s voice explains how the game works in tandem with panels that light up in sequence, presenting a true interactive in-store experience for customers.
